They're Back

Several months ago, a TV crew chose my hometown to shoot a television pilot for a show called "October Road." The show is set in the Northeast (I live in Georgia), so the crew had to do some work to make the scenery work. I was zoned out and driving home one afternoon and wondered aloud (to myself) what kind of tree is that that turns orange in April? It's the Hollywood kind.

Anyway, there was much excitement in Mayberry as the filming occurred in various locations throughout town. However, the pilot was not picked up and the excitement died.

Until--now there is a possibility that it will be picked up as a midseason replacement. As I was driving to work this morning, I was frustrated by the extension of my 3 minute commute. I could not imagine what was going on at the old courthouse building since all of the offices moved to the new "justice center" several months ago. When I returned from court in BFE a few hours later, the crew had the lights, etc set up and I figured it out. They're back!

I can't remember who is in it other than one of the girls from That 70's Show. Maybe you can hold out hope as your new favorites get cancelled that "October Road" can become you're new favorite. The scenery's nice, anyway.
